It does indeed, but its pretty difficult to give you a genuine compliment without knowing you... (And genuine compliments are the only ones that count, right?)
So what do you see as your own best points? Highlighting them should make you feel good about yourself, and if I can make you feel good by asking you that question then I've done better than giving you a meaningless compliment... ;)
BUT if you still want a random compliment, how bout this:
You are so incredibly beautiful, it takes my breath away simply to know that you are reading this message... ;)

Sorry to say but unless its your partner or maybe a family member whoever is complimenting you is just wanting a compliment returned, I will reply oh your hair, dress etc is nice too but actually I'm not too keen on mine shuts them up and stops them droning on about where they got it how much etc....sorry for being negative its just the way I think..

well it depends, some people already feel like they look good and just thrives on compliments alone but in all it can boost confidence in some but yes only if its a compliment given without asking. I say yes in all for me i loveeeeeee it!

Yes it does but only if I really am sincere and I try to be. Why say something just to make your self feel good if It is not true or you are just trying to make the person like you?
