Actually it is not illegal to download the information BUT, when you download anything from a torrent site more often than not you have to upload as well to someone else. To let information that is copywrighted be uploaded from your computer IS illegal. When I am downloading I set the upload to zero.
If the industry made music/films etc cheap enough none us would even bother using torrent sites if you could say buy a music cd or dvd for like £3 why would any of us bother thinking about downloading and risking getting trojans and viruses. Big corporations Suck

The download alone is probably not. The problem is that since you are using Bit Torrent then you are sharing the programme with others. That is definitely illegal. If you were just downloading then it would depend on whether you live in the same country and the program its self.

Of course it's illegal. It's copyrighted material which NORMAL people pay for. In fact, we subsidise illegal downloads through higher shop prices. Illegal downloaders make me sick. Hope you all get caught out big time.

Its is illegal unless you own an original copy of the media you are downloading.
Then it is classed as a backup copy.
