The whole point of an antibiotic is to get rid of bacteria. Sometimes the antibiotic kills to much bacteria and there becomes an inbalance in good and bad bacteria in your vagina. Therefore, a yeast infection occurs.
I go through it all the time.

B/c in addition to killing your infection-causing bacteria, they also kill many of the needed bacteria in the vagina. When too few bacteria (good ones) are there, it allows the yeasts, which are also always present in small numbers, to take over, thus causing a yeast infection.

They cause infections because they get rid of bacteria in the body. ALL of the bacteria. Including the good bacteria that maintains the healthy balance in there. When the good bacteria gets wiped away with the bad, the bad can grow with nothing to combat it.

when you are in antibiotics they kill bacteria that is supposed to be there to keep the yeast in check, it is called your normal flora, when the bacteria is killed the yeast is allowed to grow put pf control

Because when you kill-off the occupants of some of the bacteria condos, yeast moves in. (Sort of like Iraq.)

they don't all cause them. I get the same from certain antibiotics, men do too. Try a different brand. It upsets your ph balance i think.

They upset the delicate balance between the "good bacteria" and "bad bacteria" by just killing all bacteria that are normally a part of the ecosystem in there.
