Both sides of my family are originally from Cork but I know little else - having been born here in the states.
A lot of jokes about drinking. That bothers me because I don't think Americans get the whole idea of pubs and how they came about. Leprechauns are no different than menehunes (Hawaii's version).
I think the Irish people are a blast with some great looking men and an incredible sense of humor. You are difficult to understand with the accent but I love it.

If one is educated one knows that Ireland has a thriving, fast growing economy and has attracted a huge number of tech companies.
But think about this...... in America there are Irish bars everywhere. Not English, Scottish or even German. Could be why the stereotype still exists.

I only go by the facts maam, I think Ireland is the new IT capital of Europe. They have a high standard of living and they are the most prosperous they have been since The Viking built Dublin

nothing really except what you mentioned, were i live in the states we dont really talk that much about other countries its mostly about other races like blacks, mexicans, and asians
