it IS Painful when you start. the good part is how amazingly close it makes you feel to the guy you're with.... but you only experience this if you're really in love to begin with! Also, with time the pain does go away, and pleasure takes its place.

1. It can hurt and some girls do bleed a little bit. The bleeding usually occurs because you have a hymen that breaks the first time you have sexual intercourse.

The hymen is a small piece of thin skin which goes across the opening of the vagina and protects it when you are young. It has some gaps in it where the blood can come out when you have your period.

I have heard from people that the hymen can also break in a young girl through horse back riding or very aggressive sports. This was mentioned in my graduate studies, but I have never known it to be.

If you are concerned about this, a doctor can also break the hymen, but I would not recommend this procedure.

2. Use lubrication for the first time, this will help ease the pain somewhat and may make things easier for you and your partner.

3. Use a condom with KY or another lubricant. Do not use vasoline or petroleum jelly - it will dissolve the condom.

4. check out this site for further information:

5. If you do bleed, do not freak out. You may have to explain this to your partner that everything is ok.

6. It may continue to be painful for the next several times. Remember to take it easy. Don't be pushed into doing it again if you do not feel like it.

Good luck in your decision. It is a big step for you in your life. use common sense and above all be safe.

you should wait until you are completely ready, i know you have heard that like a million times but it is true, if you are ready and it feel right then you will be more able to enjoy yourself, don't worry about pain or the other bad stuff, if you have a partner that understand then that will halp too, if you fool around first that will help too because if you are excited you will have natural lube that will make it easier, just have fun!

Well, it is true. It took 8 hours for me to lose my virginity, and it was extremely painful. On the upside, I got over it and now I love sex. Maybe too much.

some girls bleed. it does hurt at first. just make sure you use a condom for the bleeding issue and for health issues. you just do it in your own time.
