Mattering who represents them at court, they could end up in a mental facility, which would be fitting. However, it all depends on representation. Saw something to that degree on OZ: Not only did this character end up in prison, he ended up on death row as the state recognized that to be mentally disabled, they had to show symptoms before the age of 18, and the character, Cyril O'Reily, received the head injury in his twenties. He was executed in the final episode.

I doubt it too. But which country's laws were you thinking of? I think I am in Canada Yahoo Answers but so many questions are asked like this from people from other countries. Every country's laws are different of course.

I imagine it depends on his comprehension of right and wrong as well as the crime and where it was comitted; and of course dueling experts as to who decides the comprehension level.

I don't think so. Instead, I think that person would be tried as a mentally challenged person and that that would be taken into account in the ruling. Not sure though.
