O.K My girlfriend broke up with me 2 weeks ago. She gave pretty feeble excuses, and we had been dating for a year. I had no contact whatsoever with her, until she asked the other day if i would mind going for a drink with her as friends. I went along...we just argued...and she spent the whole time telling me about some new guy she liked...i stupidly admitted i loved her, and said that this whole friends thing wasnt working, and i walked out of the room. So every day since, I get texts saying how hurtful she was, sorry,& could we be friends.i ignored her.she then asks my friends have they seen me today cos she's worried about me!Anyway, yest i had enough,& textd her back saying that she hurt me 2much & to leave me alone,i said u've moved on,so should i.anyway, she replied saying she still has feelings 4me,& misses parts of our relationship, but doesnt want to date again.i've agreed to meet her 4drink 2moro, but what do i say or do!!!!

Just ignore her. She can't gush and gush about a new guy and then mention that she has feelings for you yet does not want to be with you.

She doesn't know what she wants and if you give into her nonsense you'll just get hurt.

Your setting yourself up to be hurt more. Take a minute and realize nothing good is going to come right now from you meeting up for drinks with her. In this situation you need to think of yourself and tell her to just give you time and maybe someday down the line a drink maybe possible. Till then quit trying to find out how you are and just let go, expecially since she doesnt want you anymore anyways and is exploring other options. End answer, DO NOT MEET HER TOMORROW!

You have now become the transitional man: You've gone from boyfriend to the man whom she will use until she builds up a relationship with another man. First of all, you shouldn't go. Tell her that maybe one day in the future you could be friends with her, but right now you feel it's best to have some distance between the two of you. Don't let her play you.

She's not going to change... run the other direction!! It's her tough luck if she still has feelings for you. She obviously could care less about your feelings. You definitely have the better end to this deal.
If she tries to call or see you, ignore her.

u already know she doesnt want to date u. so whats the point in meeting for drinks; to hear her complaints about her new b/f.

if it hurts u, why bother meeting?

unless u hope she reconsiders and changes her mind about u?

Just ignore her. If you don't want the hurt of trying to be her friend, you gotta let it go.

What you would say and do with any friend, you listen to their problems and they yours, but with friends there is no romance, just remember she is a friend.
