Basically the ingredients to make homemade Febreeze is a mix of water and fabric softener.
Directions: Unless otherwise noted, place ingredients in a spray bottle and shake well to mix. Test a small unnoticeable area first before using to make sure no discoloration or damage occurs. Use as needed, shaking well each time before use.

i have tried a lot of these and have found that if you get liquid fabric softener and mix it half with water in a spray bottle that it makes AWESOME carpet spray, but for other things, like curtains and furniture, i get a big spray bottle, about 2 quart size, put two teaspoons full of white vinegar, one drop of petroli oil, fill with water, and then 2 drops of lavender oil.... i don't know why it works best mixed this way but it does, and smells so good!
