I think all of us have something we really fear most. Mine is losing the people who I cared all my life. I'm afraid they will be leaving me one day or I will be leaving them one day. The future really scares me, but I really trust in God. I believe that He will never leave us and He is always there to be with us. Our lives are in His clean hands, so I should not fear what will happen next, and so do you.

I am afraid of anything bad happening to my children. I could cope with absolutely anything other than that.

Fear is a virtue in the wise, for the more you love more you fear, more you know the value of something the more you are afraid of losing it. But this fear is of different kind as fools have their fears too; fools either fear everything, or they fear nothing at all until they learn to fear. The most general cause of fear, however, is ignorance, or unknown things, people and places. And then as we move through life the causes of our fear change and so do our attitudes towards it; some people fear lest they should lose what they have, while others may fear that they might never have something they want. The one who values nothing will fear nothing.
Personally, I am afraid lest this life should go in vain, that one day it all might come to an absolute termination; there might be nothing that we know now as life-after-death. If this were true then obviously I would not be around to know to realise it, or to feel it, but the realm of my fear is before that, well into the life that I still have. The thought of an absolute termination of life makes me feel suffocated to the degree of blackening out the living day light.

I completely agree that God is in control and we should fear nothing. However, we are sinners and we all have our fears and doubts. I am very afraid of letting people down, of letting God down. I am a people pleaser, and am known for being a "goody-two-shoes" I hate feeling like I've let someone down, or dissapointed anyone in some way. But God has been teaching me a lot through this, and I believe He can work anything for good...even our fears. He teaches us things and reveals Himself to us through our trials and failures.

falling, that's a good one. I am too. OK, for real. uh......Cockroaches give me the hibbgibbies, so I am definitely scared of them. Sharks, they could eat my leg off, so they are on the top 10. I am scarred easily so if you just wait around the corner long enough and I come flying by, yup, I scream my head off. I don't like to think about the possibility of anyone that could hurt me, although I have often felt that if I were ever confronted with a person that wanted to stab me or that attacked me, I would be able to defend myself. I am not scarred of them but if you cam face to face with a Grizzly bear, if it were hungry enough, it would eat you. there are several scenarios that I am afraid of. Having a child is one. I can water a plant, feed my cats, but a human child that depends on me to protect and provide for it. WOW that is something I am definite scared senseless of.

OK, next.

Unceertainty I can deal with almost anything if I am sure of the outcome and the cost. Take a snake...my fear starts if I do not know if it is venomous and how it will react. Should it bite will I have pain. In all things the greatest fear is uncertainty....

I don't fear much. I don't fear death....

But for some reason, I cannot go near large bodies of water. .... Yeah... water. I'm afraid of water.... v_v;

Not too fond of watching anything involving touching wrists... the underside. That is less fear and more a freakish revolusion. If I even look at my wrists I can see all the blood-vessels so near the surface... so vulnerable... like the slightest thing could cut them.... It is making me feel sick even thinking about it.

Fear is lack of understanding.When you understand a thing your fear ceases.Increasing knowledge and awareness is the only way to overcome fear.Trusting God is an escape route to overcome fear.It is good you have it.You have little control over what happens in next moment.Intelligence makes you take precution.Donot live in fear,live in knowledge.

Ok, first of all Im a wiccan and I take offense at this blatant plug of christianity. Having said that, I fear what most people fear and thats to be rejected and/or abandoned. I also fear bees, wasps and absolute darkness. But my greatest fear would have to be loss of freedom because of our goverment becomming more and more a dictatorship. I blame at least some of that on christianity. Have a nice day.

I have to agree with you *Hermy*, I am also afraid of losing those whom I love. The future scares me because i know that my parents are getting older, I cry just thinking about it. Besides that-- needles, I scream at the sight of them, I'm almost 18 and I still need my mother there to tell me it's ok.
