Traditionally for the 3rd year, leather is to be exchanged... I remember this and my hubby and I traded a wallet and a pocketbook, which is fairly inexpensive.

I can certainly understand tough times, but your phasing confuses me a bit...is it you and your wife that are laid off from the factory, or the children that are looking for new jobs?

The best anniversary memories I have are the ones where we had a night alone, whether that's at home, or out somewhere... as long as it was just the night to remember the love that made the anniversary possible. If you have young ones at home, call some friends to take them overnight, and enjoy cooking a meal together, and watch a movie you remember from when you were dating. Look through your picture albums of all the wonderful times you have had so far.

But most of all, celebrate each other and the love you have for one another, that alone is worth more than a million... money can't buy love, nor does it take money to maintain the love...Happy Anniversary, and best wishes for many more to come.

Send the kids away for for the weekend. Place rose pedals on the floor making a trail to the bedroom. Have candles burning. Make sure that you have some wine chilling with two stemware glasses. Maybe some chocolate covered strawberry s also. Have some soft music playing in the background and just see what happens. Good luck and best wishes. It can't be easy with the kids and all.

Get a sitter, and do a candle light dinner.

give her a big hug, tell her how much you love her; fix her a nice dinner....

Don't forget during those hard times...

Everything always works out, one way or another.
