Being a natural born US citizen and a business owner...

I have to follow all the laws in place and cannot discriminate against anyone while trying to fill a position within my company....

Just for instance (not that I would do this)...but I could not NOT hire someone because they are Muslim.

Discrimination is discrimination....and they are discriminating against people based on their religious beliefs.

I don't really want every thing to come down to a fight in court but when taxis in all cities I know are a regulated public transportation system in those communities I do not see how these drivers are not being discriminatory and thus should have their licenses jerked. As a blind person I would have a legal right to take my guide dog where ever I need it including places that traditionally do not let animals in like a grocery, public library, etc. Thus under ADA these cab drivers are denying a federally protected right for me to be able to obtain transportation. This is where I see the danger for Europe in that as these proponents of Sharia law will put this in more and more there. The libs are wrong this is proof of the cultural war this is. They have no idea how they are the ones that will allow this country to fall under a religious terror that we will die or be enslaved by.

I can't believe they would do that! I have to admit that my understanding of Islam is very limited, but if I remember correctly, I believe it does put an emphasis on charity. If anything, they should consider giving a ride to a blind person a form of charity, even if the passenger is paying. Also, they should understand that they are now working in a country that has laws against discrimination against the disabled.

They need to realize that they work in the public sphere and respect that they cannot discriminate against others on religious grounds. Imagine what life would be like here if every landlord who thinks using a condom is sinfull and refuses to rent to those that do use them?! They also need to understand that this is their home and agree to live within the cultural bounderies, they by no means have to cease their religon but rather be willing to adopt their beliefs to reside here. I am sure Mahammed would understand.

I think that the muslim taxi drivers need to get over themselves or get out of the taxi business. They are committing acts of discrimination when they refuse to transport people with service dogs and it's rediculous that they refuse to transport people carring alcohol. I think that those who refuse to operate in an hones manner should be stripped of their licenses.

Most of them are regularly seen close to airports. So throw em on a plane and send them to Iran, where they should have no trouble blending in with the rest of the population.

Oh yea. We don't have flights into the terrorist den AKA iran. So do the next best thing and send them to Europe. They are getting close to being an islamic state anyway, so those Oh-so tolerant frenchies should be used to it.

Any taxi driver should be allowed to refuse any client they choose, regardless of their religious orientation. It is their loss. So i think it is okay, and only bad for the taxi-drivers business.

Saying that this would dismantle a country would suggest that there is not much country there to dismantle to begin with.
You cant propagate freedom if there are rules on what you can not do.

to say "They" are trying to do this, and "they" are trying to do that is polarizing and very dangerous. Who is "they" exactly? All Muslim taxi-drivers? Or just the evil ones? Or what?

THIS IS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and we have certain RULES set down by our forefathers and the Constitution and if they don't like OUR rules and way of doing things - DON'T COME HERE!!!!!

WE are not allowed to discriminate - WHY ARE THEY?
They should be sued and put out of business!

It doesn't look like that has anything to do with him being Muslim.. it wasn't for religious reasons... he's just an idiot.. no religion can fix that.
