sorry about the snow, we have wee smattering down here..Now is the perfect time for pruning roses, prune down to an outward facing bud. There are lots of guff written and spoken about rose pruning, I hope you don't regard this as such, but our roses are hardy buggers and will give months of colour and scent however they are pruned. I have just finished mine luckily before this pigging weather set in. I have only 2 rules, prune about now, and prune to an outward
facing bud. Hope the weather gets better for us. Happy gardening.

You wont harm them notwithstanding in case you prune to approximately 10" from the floor. yet my different halves roses are the only issues eco-friendly interior the iciness. I stay interior the intense barren area.I do trim the super ones down, and that they actually do nicely from the spring on. The smaller ones, i do no longer think of i will touch this year.

I would prune it now but in a perfect world its a bit on the late side. I prune mine to a small extent all the year round and they do very well

I'd go for it - the fresh shoots are just coming through in Kent.

I trimmed one the other day that I'd missed in Autumn.

I think it's ok as long as there aren't any blooms on it.

Go for it. It's the right time of year for pruning roses.

It can never hurt to present a nicely trimmed bush, proudly displayed for all to see and admire.
