I live in Hong Kong and want to watch US tv? Is there any way to do this? I already know about the slingbox option (where I can watch a tv in the US) but I am looking for an option where I do not have to ask a friend to connect the slingbox, and instead do whatever is necessary from Hong Kong.

I hope that will give you what you want.

Depending on the channels you want, you can get some US stations via satellite minidish, some for free even (FTA). See if you can find a local dealer who specializes in dishes and see what they can offer you.
