The Federalists won and were able to give us the constitution. This has served us well for 200+ years. The Anti-Federalists were able to influence the power of the government and were able to procure the bill of rights. What arose out of the debate between them was not structure of the country, but that both sides participated.

You have to understand that during the time of forming of our country there were lots of views on how to go about it.
It took some debate where all decided that they did not want a king for sure, nor any form of government that is ruled by one person. From these type of debates by the young men, most that wrote the constitution were in their 30's, they struggled against lots of ideas on how to make a more perfect government. As you had to make all the people, states, happy they had to do things that some where not happy with to gain what they wanted, the show of our first politicians. In the end Federalist were stronger in what they wanted in the shaping of the country, forming the 3 branches and trying to make sure neither had power over the other but worked as one government.
They seemed to come up with a constitution that has worked for some 200+ years and knew that they did not have a perfect constitution they made sure there were ways to amend it to make it work for the times.
The Anti did come up with the next best thing in the country and that was the bill of rights, so if we did not have them we be missing a very important part of our country.
It took both to make our country what it is, the best country.

the federalists, in my opinion. they worked long and hard to come up with the best type of govt possible. at the end of the day, Benyamin Franklin walked out of the building and a lady came up to him and said, sir, what kind of govt did you give us? he replied. madam, we gave you a republic, if you can keep it. === can you believe the check spelling on here would not change Benyamin.. maybe im missing something.
