This vehicle will need to go to a professional repair facility. The problem can still be in the ignition system, air/fuel system, mechanical or computer control. Any advise on the internet would be absolute guessing. I recommend checking the website ASE.com and locating a Blue Seal rated facility in your area. This elite certification belongs to only 3-4% of shops across the nation and does the best job of ensuring you get the cream of the crop.

It could be many things. Have the vehicle checked out in a shop that has the plug-in diagnostic equipment. The computer readout should tell where the problem is.
Loss of power sounds like loss of compression, which may mean excessive wear on the piston rings.
Using lots of gas may only mean you are stepping on the gas harder to keep the vehicle going.

you say losing power?check the cat.it could be clogging up.1 way you can tell if its the cat, clogged up.pull the plugs and see if they are all black.if they are then the cat is clogged and letting the smoke back up into the engine.my car did that and after i got a new cat,my plugs had to be cleaned, and now it runs fine.
