Thanks to those who have answered but I don't think I worded this question very well.
If I buy between 1 and 4 I pay for them but the fifth item is free. If I purchase 7, I pay for 6 and still get only 1 free. etc. So if I buy 5 I only pay for 4; buy 10 pay for 8; etc
Thanks

1 out of 5 is 20%

1 free out of 5 = 1/5th saved = 20%

Example: Buy 5 items at $20 each = $100
However, you get 1 free and pay only $80 = 20$ saved.

= 20 out of 100 = 20%
