It's hard to believe the best the neocon opposition could come up with was a bunch of bikers.
Many bikers are patriots, but come on!

The "crazy looking biker dudes" have a name. The organization is called Rolling Thunder, and to enlighten you, I have included part of their mission statement. They were one of many groups involved in the Gathering of Eagles.
Incorporated in 1995, Rolling Thunder®, Inc. Inc. is a class 501 C-4 non-profit organization with over 80 chartered chapters throughout the United States and members abroad. Our membership is comprised of men and women with 40-45% being non-veterans with the balance being veterans from all wars and peace-time. Although many of its members ride motorcycles, a person does not have to own or ride a motorcycle to be a member, just the time and willingness to be an advocate for our troops, veterans, and POW/MIA’s.
I personally would not classify someone who supports our troops the way you did, but maybe that's just how I was raised.

I guess you can put me in there too because I own a Harley???
Their appearance has NOTHING to do with their Patriotism.
Many of my "biker" friends are some of the most giving, caring people I have ever met....
They love their country, the troops and will NEVER not defend it!!

Well, as long as we're going to generalize, I've been around a long time and I've served in Vietnam. I was also a Police Officer during the 60s and 70s. If you want to talk about people who looked, dressed and acted crazy, then it would have to be anti-war protesters.
We're talking about people who combed their hair with buttered toast and who thought that bathing was a violation of their civil rights, and that was just the women. Their stench was enough to bring tears to your eyes.
So, if a few veterans who served with honor want to wear their hair a little long or sport a beard, that's their business, and certainly not yours. You haven't earned the right to disparage them.

Here we have the typical "Glass House" question from the left because the ant-war protests were a dud and the counter protests for the troops out numbered them 3-1.
so, in the same mentality, Why are most anti-war protesters look unkempt, long hair in tattered clothes or 60's wanna Be's in their 50's?

Didn't have to be there, media outlets are reporting an estimate of 30,000 pro-troops to 10,000 anti-war, I paid attention in public schools so thats 3 to 1

they weren't you looked at one picture and made that claim.
most were vets dressed for the cold, many wearing jackets and hats with their unit patches.
it's like me asking "why are all anti-war protesters dressed like Hezbollah suicide bombers?"
it is a false and misleading question.

you wont find one, but even if there was there are at least 100 more people who look like every one else and that means something.
Add on: then you need to check to see if your eye prescription is up, because only a small number of the people there were bikers, the rest were ordinary people who were vets or related to vets.
I can only guess they looked scary to you because they were standing up against you and your ilk and that bothers you. "normal people" think like you right?
lol tell me how many people on your side of the fence had their faces covered, not from the cold mind you, but to keep their identity a secret, I mean if they are peace loving why are they hiding?

Well, young lady, those 'crazy looking biker dudes', were many of the Viet Nam Veterans who served our country before you were born . I assume this because any intelligent adult knew who they were . I'm glad you're asking questions, so that you may learn the truth, and develop into an intelligent adult, rather than an ignorant subversive !!
EDIT - Now that I've read the other answers, I can show you how to spot a subversive . The ones who answered that they must have been on drugs to support our country . Very tolerant of them.. . doncha think ??!!??!!

Biker dudes are loyal Americans. Have you ever seen a Biker without an American Flag either somewhere on his/her person, or on their bikes? I haven't. Bless them. They're only crazy looking, because Liberals can't tolerate Patriotism, and don't understand it.

Because they were representing their right to dress however they want. You know a basic freedom that they fought for you to have. People like you would not understand. I am sure.

most of the eagles are former military men and vietnam veterans and feel it is still their duty to protect america god bless them all

Those were the Patriots there. Served their country in Vietnam (most of the Eagles). They understand duty, honor, country and that freedom isn't free................
