Can anyone recommend some good films about survival?
The only one i can seem to think of is Castaway but i know there are loads and loads.

I'll add Lifeboat (1944). A group of people who survive a shipwreck after their boat has been torpedoed during WWII. Great Hitchcock film. Apollo 13 was also about survival.

Any of the "Jurassic Park" films. Trying to survive against dinosaurs is a hard thing to do. And just about any horror flick. "Halloween" and "Nightmare On Elm Stree", come to mind.

"Alive" was an excellent true story about a plane crash where the survivors had to make the decision to eat the dead in order to survive. It's well worth seeing.
