I have thought about this allot for many years and I have come the conclusion that this no one will ever know the meaning of existence. The only good thing we can do with it is enjoy it and make the most of it.

Many points of view:
1. Karma, as Carpe_diem said. Karma is not about retribution, vengeance, punishment or reward, karma simply deals with what is.
And also you have to think of cause and effect. You do something for the universe, the universe will do something for you, it all go back to your intentions; you were good, you'll have good. You were mean, well, you'll get your a** kicked.

2. I found this on http://www.helium.com/tm/174780/reason-existence-everyone-asked :
"what is the reason of our existence? There is no reason. There does not need to be a reason. We are here because the earth allowed us to be. Millions of years ago, we were tiny organisms, and we have grown and evolved into intelligent creatures. We are here by chance, a lucky roll of the dice.
We, as the human race, want to believe there is something more to life and existence so we can believe that we are important. No one wants to feel as if they are insignificant to the whole. But we are."

3. Religion. Whether you're religious, or not. Spiritual or not. I'm just putting points of vue.
The belief: Existence of a Greater Power (God) that Observes us and takes care of us. And all He asks from us is to acknowledge his existence and worship Him. Being good to other people, helping each other (which takes us back to karma). Plus, on the religion point of view, the reason of existence makes you wonder in general of God, prayer, miracles, existence of evil, ... all the subjects that Philosophy of Religion is concerned with.

4. Then, you think of Logic. If everything in the world has a Creator or inventor, it does make you think of the Creator of human beings.
It's not like we just appeared or we were tiny organisms.

My point of View is between religion and logic. there's no science without religion, and there's no religion without science. if i am not convinced with religious writings, i use my brain: Logic.

Why does there have to be reason? We live in an unimaginably vast universe that will probably last for all eternity. When faced with something of this size and time span, no reason, meaning or purpose makes sense.

However the things that make life worthwhile to me are the small and temporary things, the love of other people, good food and drink, and the satisfaction of achieving an ambition and the warmth of achievement. Remember that meaning does not need to be ultimate.

There isn't one. Or there isn't any obvious reason. You can turn to religion and they'll hand you one (or maybe several, not too sure)

You can turn to your genitals and decide that procreation is the only reason you existed in the first place, so it's the only reason you've got to continue. A pretty pathetic reason if you ask me...

You can turn on the TV and forget the question to begin with... or...

Hmm, pardon me while I go hang myself. lol j/k

To learn. Life is about learning, whether in school, at work, in marriage, or anything. It is so that when you grow up, you'll be able to influence those around you to lead a better life based on your experiences too. This is an atheist view. However, if you have a religion (I'm Christian), I believe that it is to learn about God, to serve him, and the previous atheist view (although to a much lesser extent).

There is no reason other than the biological process with which you were created.

Now you are here, however, you have the opportunity to bring a reason to your existence.........this is entirely down to you what you do and how you do it.
