How do you repair carpet that has had a 550lb. fish tank sitting on it for 2 years?

There's a large square pressed completely into the carpet and I'm afraid the area is ruined.

fluff it up with a hair brush, vaccum it regularly and give it some time. My waterbed used to leave the same kind of marks, they come out over time usually.

Just don't worry bout it the carpet will come back up in a couple months. or if want it fast vacum the area or get a new rug.

Buy new carpet. You surely can't fix that.
