Yes. I work in a residential home for the elderly and on the day one of my gentlemen moved in, his daughter came to me and said "You must be Elaine." I was surprised, I'd never met this lady before but she'd been told to watch out for a carer who was always smiling. "I know Dad will be alright with you."

It's not the only time it's happened either. I opened the door to a lady I'd never seen before. "Thank you, Elaine." I asked her if we'd met. We hadn't but her sister had told her to look out for a large carer who always wore a smile. "From what I've heard, you're lovely with the people that live here". I told her the truth "That's because they're all lovely people."

So, yes, my reputation precedes me and in these days when carers are seen as pariahs, I'm proud of that

Yes on every taxi firm i go on they all know me been around and worked with all the lads and some ladies so yes my reputation as a creature of the night (NIGHT DRIVER) does precede me

you can easily lose a good reputation

but you never lose a bad one !
so i choose not to have one at all ! lol

oh I hope not, my rep is quite bad, or at least it use to be.
