Beastmaster - and I still watch it now.
BMX Bandits - Has not passed the test of time.
The Last Starfighter - Still great.
Secret of Nimh - Still good.
Warlords of Atlantis - Bit disappointing now.
Jason and the Argonauts - Greatest film ever made.
Clash of the Titans - Fantastic.
Murder by Death - Hilarious
The Burbs - Still love this film.
I could go on and on. Fridays after school BBC2 showed loads of sci-fi, they were brilliant. Bank Holidays when all we knew in the UK were 3 channels, so the films you got were ones you'd never seen or had only seen at the cinema before. I first saw Star Wars that way - great memories.

Apparently I am older than most of you! As a kid, my favorite film was The Parent Trap, with Haley Mills, Brian Keith and the amazing Maureen O'Hara. Haley and I are the same age. I was an underpriveleged kid, so I loved seeing feisty little girls who went to a fancy summer camp and lived in beautiful homes. The adults in the movie were educated, wealthy and they all wore fabulous clothes! I wanted to be Haley Mills. (Still sorta do, I guess, although I have grown up to have a beautiful and happy life myself.) Go rent the movie; it's a bit cheesy by today's standards, but really fun to watch.

I loved E.T, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal and The Railway Children. I still love The Railway Children (original version) especially at the end when Roberta runs to her father, it's so emotional.
