Hehehe. Honestly, I couldn't live without my mobile phone. I don't care about the features of the phone though, as long as I can send text messages then that's fine with me. I live in the Philippines, and mobile phones is one of the cheapest forms of communication. For 15 pesos (30 cents) we can already have unlimited text messages for one day. So for me cellphone is not just a mere luxury, it is vital in order to connect with friends, family, etc. c",)

Not only could I live without a mobile phone, I could cheerfully live without other peoples phones with them ringing during church services and my being compelled to be present during the stupid one sided conversations. If I had my way, after a set number of calls had been taken, the phones would explode and blow off the ear of the user, not the ear he/she is using, no, the other one................. I rest my case.

I have had 2 in my lifetime the first one I gave to my daughter and the replacement I am about to give to my other daughter after she dropped her own down the loo, so yes I can live without a mobile, I seem to have one to act as fall back for my children when they don't have theirs.
i won't be getting another.

I could if I had to but it's a comfort to know that, if I break down on one of my many motorway journeys, I don't have to do the long walk to the emergency phones. I took it on holiday but locked it in the Safe in my room. I only used it to let my friend know that I had landed, so she could set off from home to pick me up from the airport.

Yes...Personally I feel that some new technology, including this one...causes society to become more detached with one another and a " I want it NOW...I don't want to have to wait " society.
I feel cell phones takes away that "Oh, I can't wait to talk with you again and share certain conversation". It removes that fun sense of ANTICIPATION and having to plan and keep to those plans.
After sending along my answer here...I read " Confused's " answer . . . Perfect example. What would they have done before cell phones ?

Easily - I only use it for work and then turn it off. I would rather spend my time face to face with my friends than always waiting for the next call - I think it's a bit rude anyway
