Sometimes I get the feeling my friend likes me, but I keep telling myself it's not possible. Whenever he sees me he smiles - a proper, face-lighting-up smile. He sometimes smiles at me across the room for no particular reason. When we're walking somewhere he walks really close to me, but I might be imagining that. He'll often sit next to me, either when we're at friends' houses or at church (where I know him from). Recently he's started apologising if he doesn't sit with me - saying things like 'I've just got to go and talk to ...' when I'd made no mention of him sitting with me. I talk to him a lot, and sometimes he asks me questions like when my birthday is. He tells me a lot about himself and his family, and has confided in me when he's had problems with one of his friends. He'll always talk to me when he sees me, and sometimes I get the impression he's trying to be close to me or coming to things because he knows I'll be there. He's shy so it's hard to tell what he's thinking.

Of course he's interested! No guy would sit next to someone, or talk to someone he dislikes. Just the fact that he's willing to share personal information (like family stuff) with you, is a sign! And he asks you questions - another sign!

Don't confront him yet, though. Just wait until he confesses. He might be nervous or shy about all that. Good luck! :)

From all you've said I think its prety obvious he likes you.
Maybe he waiting for the signals that you like him too.He may be worried of rejection or just not know how to take things forward from where you are now.
You have two options-either play the waiting game in the hope he plucks up the courage to ask you out or take the initiative and ask him!
Good luck

If you like him, ask him out, because he obviously likes you, and if you don't ask him then he will be too shy and nothing will happen.
This happened to me before one of my best friends asked me out, but I had to say no.
But it's not awkward or anything, we are still really close, I had been so worried we wouldn't be.
Also, it's quite cool because he's now my human self-esteem machine, and he gave me an MP3 player for my birthday and this massive bag of homemade brownies on Valentines day.
I just really don't fancy him though, he is really handsome and nice and all but my heart belongs to someone else.
Who doesn't like me back.
That is called 'the law of sod'.
Sorry, I kind of digressed there.
Massively.

This man is interested in you as a woman. He is just too shy to tell you. You will have to drop him sutle hints and and perhaps show him you you have an interest in him. Let him see some of your sexual allure and tempt him in a nice way.

Ask him out to a show or a meal and try to get confortable and relaxed and who knows what might happen.

It sounds to me that this guy likes you and is waiting for you to tell him that you like him also. If I were you I would tell him that you like him and want to be friends with him before taking the relationship to the next step.

He likes you and is waiting for you to hint or tell him that you like him too. Go on, do so if you like him enough. Show him you are interested or he'll probably move on soon enough.
