Being out of towners i would need stuff hopefully close to Collins st and Buckhurst St (Sth Melb)because of partners meetings. I would probably be lost otherwise. I would need somewhere for meal/bottle time, change rooms (as I have been with oldest at 4 mths and only found one place for nappy change) and entertainment to keep happy. I leave early tomoro and am worried of keeping busy...last time seemed hard with a baby eg baby friendly

Well my Mum took me to the Casino, not the gambling part but the halls and the food areas. I loved seeing the light shows they have on and the art work is fun to look at. I was 6 at the time.

I have a 6 month old daughter and find that in Melbourne you can find heaps of places with baby change facilties and parents rooms.
We are heading into Melbourne on Sunday for the day and we are going to look around the Southbank Market and then walk down the yarra and have a look in the botantical gardens.
Although i am planning on walking around with the baby in a baby backpack, as a lot of shops are not pram friendly at all.
You could always get a babysitter for a few hours and go off exploring by yourself if you feel more comfortable doing that:

You could always go to the zoo and take the children on a tram ride down to st kilda, there is luna park at st kilda and there might be a ride or two the you can take your children on. Then they can also build a sandcastle on the beach.

Also a river cruise might be a good idea, they can look around the city by boat and you can sit down a relax or give the baby a bottle/breast.

They also have on the weekends horse and carriage rides that your children might enjoy.

Goodluck. If all else fails a picnic by the yarra is always nice. Also ask at the hotel that you are staying at - they may have some suggestions for you.

If u are staying on a weekend try the South Melbourne Market and/or the St.kilda Street Market. If it is warm, try the St.kilda beach.

As for feeding and changing your baby; well you could try Melbourne Aquarium (they might be too young, but at least it has change and food facilities). This is about a 1.5 minute walk from Flinders Street Station.

You could also take them on a boat ride from South Bank to Williamstown, im sure they would like that.

Thats all i can really think about at the moment, good luck, and have a great stay in Melbourne,

Cheers,
Matt

The melbourne zoo. Even tho the 18mth old wont remember it, she/he will love the experience of the animals. Other than that, maybe the aquarium. You could also just go shopping. Myer has a mums and bubs room

Most fast food Restaurants have baby change facilities, like McDonald's. I think you will find it hard otherwise unless you go to a Hotel motel for your meals etc. I hope you enjoy your stay.

If you can get to COllingwood Children's Farm, I would! It is lovely there but I dont think they have a change room... they have agreat cafe and so many great animals and it is about 5 mins from the city. LOvely :)
