Not able to visualize some web page on my computer internet?

The operating system on my computer is Window XP with Microsoft Internet Explorer. There are occasions whereby I cant open some some web page and when this is possible, they are always in blanks. In sometimes the headlines appear and contents in blank. Does this have to do with the version of Internet Explorer installed or the configuration is not properly adjusted or may be there are some worms tampering with computer? The antivirus is Norton

The problem can be any number of things. The usual things I would do in this situation is: 1: return your security settings to default. 2: reinstall the browser or find a new version if that doesn't work. 3: definitely run anti-virus and anti-spyware.
