Until talk radio, Liberals had the entire press to themselves.... no opposition! It was like a monopoly. Now they are seething with anger and resentment that there are some outlets for people who don't want to be brainwashed by the Liberals.
If you are a Conservative guest on a Liberal show, they will take the interview and edit it to make you look dumb, out of touch, insensitive, untruthful, etc. (I have seen how on "60 Minutes, they will even edit the Interviewers question to make him sound smarter !!!) However, on The O'Reilly Factor, Bill gives his guest THE FINAL WORD. They have about a half minute to say whatever they want, without commentary or interruption.
Why are Liberals mad about this? Because most of the time, the Liberal guest has nothing intelligent to say, so even though Bill is graciously giving them a nationwide platform to say whatever they wish, the guest still looks stupid because he is so accustomed to just parroting lines like "Bush lied", but never coming up with any original, coherent ideas or plans.

Socialists are dead set against freedom of speech, unless it supports their position. Keep in mind how the communists took over Russia.
First the unions, then the schools, then the "oppressed" as described by the marxists.........beginning to sound a lot like the democrat socialists in America.
For all naysayers let me add there is an university study that shows a decided liberal bias in the media, and since all liberals believe if it comes from a university it must be fact, then according to the liberal logic, there is a liberal bias in the media. Now do any liberals have a counter study from a respected university that proves anything to the contrary?
For those who would argue that the viewership or readership is an indication of what has bias and what does not might I suggest you research which outlets are improving in reader/viewershil and which are declining. Take a look at the last six years for instance the stock price of the NYT, it has dropped like a rock whereas FNC has risen dramatically, so if the market tells you anything it says people do not want media bias.

I think it is just a knee-jerk reaction. Many liberals have never watched Fox News or if they have they didn't do so with an open mind. Liberalism has always appealed to the young. So you will hear a lot of young people just repeating what they hear others say. It is very important for the young to be accepted by their peers. You won't find a lot of independent thought among that group. I has always been so.
It is very apparent that most have never listened to talk radio, too. So many times you will see liberals posting here that Rush Limbaugh is a hate monger or racist. Anyone who really does listen to his show, even if they disagree with his views cannot honestly say he is hateful or racist.
Liberals seem to be following the socialist model. They don't want to or can't seem to win debates so they want to destroy the opposition with personal attacks. Their approach now is to discredit the opposition rather than argue ideas. I think that is because they have very few ideas that people would really agree with if they were fully explained.

Fox News isn't right wing. Fox news broadcasts are, if anything, fair and balanced just like they advertise. The fact that they don't slant left with all of the other news outlets makes those on the left feel that Fox News is leaning right.
Fox News does have some right wing programming but it isn't news broadcasting, it is opinion and commentary like Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reiley. But they also have far left wing opinion and commentary like Alan Combs and Greta Van Sustren.
The libs hate it because they have driven nearly all of the right wing point of view from all of the other outlets but they can't get control of Fox News.

The liberal media is used to being the only voice. They controlled the information for years and stimulated people to their ideology, and that they do unlike giving that up.....yet i think of the bloggers have extra to do with the autumn of the liberal media than Fox. If i choose information, i circulate to Fox....

Well you need to shop around a bit. I watch ABC a lot, and I think as a conservative, you'd be well pleased with their spin on current events. They play ball with Bush. In fact, I'd say ABC proves that the big three networks are way more conservative now than they were two decades ago, when Rush Limbaugh was forming his "ain't liberal media awful" platform.
Look around. There's not really a liberal media anymore, as such. This is so, if for no other reason than that the netwroks offer what sells, and they know conservatism sells to the folks back home.
Sorry to talk over your rather too pat (and inaccurately premised) question.
Peace

Actaully Fox News is declining fast in the ratings...they are far from balanced and fair, they are more of a right wing propaganda machine than anything, I will say the same for MSNBC as far as being for the left wing. It is harder and harder to find blaanced stories when there si much ino out there to be grabbed and have spin added to it.

Fox news ratings are declingin since more and more are realizing how lopsided they are.
this is what happens when viewers say Kieth Olbermanns name
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Up4eEahEt0g&mode=related&search=
to bill o'reilly, and why bill o reilly after getting spanked time and time again -- (get caught with his foot in his mouth)
wont dare say keith olbermans name
I notice you bring up hannity and whoever -- but he isnt your largest bread earner is he.
Changing tactics because if you mention Bill O'reillys name you know youll get as smashed as Bill O gets by Keith Olberman.
What Fox does is they will allow weak democrat representatives to argue the against, just to support their Right wing arguements.
But fair and balanced is reporting all situations -- not omitting or staying clear from particular situations that arise when it hurts the republican cause.
So that fair and balanced motto is pretty much out the window right there.
There is so much "reporting" that doesnt go on at Fox, their selective areas is noticably becoming apparent to viewers when ratings for 5 years show Fox declining while MSNBC is rising.
people are finally coming around.
P.S. I love it when republicans or fox supporters make comments that ALL news channels are biased -- as their tryiing to argue indirectly that everyones as bad as FOX.
Our government is doing bad things have been for 6 years.
Since its trepublicans caught with their hand in the cookie jars, someone has to report it, uncover it, and hold people responsible.
Thats democrats right now.
To labelthat as biased reporting is only a way of supporting a terrible government and attempt to continue to allow them to continue as they wish,..
Are you guys really that stupid, or just hope liberals are?
P.S. PATCH -- lets see what O'reilly does to viewers he doent like
take a look

Its the typical liberal approach to things. They support freedom of speech until that free speech disagrees with them. Watch them carefully and you'll see hundreds of examples of their free speech.
I don't watch any of the news channels as they are all biased and I got sick of it a long time ago.

Only lemmings such as yourself tend to feel this way.
I consider my self liberal and have little if any use for any of the news sources you refer to, much less FOX, ( Fairly Imbalanced..We Lie, You Decide -" News" ). I prefer NPR, the BBC, Christian Science Monitor, and straight press wire copy with the understanding that all of this information is to be challenged and questioned. All media is prone to deliberate dis information. Drinking the Fox Cool Aide won't enlighten anyone much.
