That must be really annoying...
if you are not prepared to let it go for less money...than you will have to wait until they finish the development...

It may be worthwhile waiting until the building work has finished.
In the meantime put up a solid fence with a decorative curved trellis topping, and plant some shrubs and a tree or two if there is room and a climbing plant to ramble over the trellis, making sure to include some strategically placed evergreens. You might also consider a feature of some kind in the garden to draw the eye away from the neighbours.

that can be a big turn of for potential buyers, can you actually see the building work from your garden, if so not knowing how high your back fence is , could you extend the height of your fencing and add some shrubbery or trees to hide the building work and the building when erected. this would also act as a sound barrier as well.don't wish to sound rude but make sure your home is clutter free and decorated in neutral colours so when the next buyer comes along they will fall in love with your home and feel they just must have.good luck with your sale.

How soon do you have to sell the house?
You may want to consider taking it off the market until the project is completed. By then your market time will start again at DAY 1 as a new listing.

How long is the building work going to continue? It might be better to take your house off the market, and wait until the work is finished.

Well it's not surprising, unfortunately. All you can do is reduce the asking price and see if that makes your house any more attractive. Good luck.
If you are going to be overlooked by the new housing, waiting until the building is finished may not make any difference.

Have a fence put up to block the view of the development.

wait until the development process is complete and quiet.
Your timing is impeccable. and it would be to your advantage...after it's over, the value on your home gains an increase...nice to know, huh?
