The Gold Coast is beautiful. I've lived here for seven years and I absolutely love it. It's friendly, the weather is awesome, there's heaps to do (as long as you're not broke like I am at the moment). It's really diverse, people visit from all over the world and then never leave. Come and see for yourself!! :)

loved it Visited Melbourne, sydney, Brisbane. Its not what americans think. The food is very foofy. You cannot get a regular coffee it all comes as a latte etc. cant even get a shot of espresso with water, they will add cream anyway. very expensive however. It was very nice-nicer than cities here and everyone was friendly. Im sure it has its bad areas but i didnt see them

I got the impression everything is new. My friend lives in a house that was built 16years ago and calls it an 'old house'. Her school she went to is now a supermarket because it was 30years old and considered 'an old school'.
Australians are very nice to everyone but the Aborigines who they seem to loathe with a capital L.
You see many dead kangaroos on the motorway.
Still, it was a really good holiday, but I never felt for one moment I would like to live there.

it's great....i live in australia and it is a great place to live or visit....and it is a nice clean place.....should visit some time soon you would love it....

I live there. It's alright. diverse, if anything.
btw 30yrs is NOT old for a school, the high school i went to is over 140 years old.
