hi does anyone know of a contemporary song classified as house? (if possible one that can be seen on mtv, or gets mainstream playing time on radios, etc)
if anyone can define what this type of music is all about, i'll be very grateful!

That's the thing.
House isn't on MTV.
Or VH1.
Or any of that crap.
It isn't "mainstream".
Thats the exact opposite of house.
House is focused more on the basic aspects, no glamour.

Fatboy Slim is a house Dj, and he has gotten some play on MTV and radio. Pick up his greatest hits, and you can hear some good house music.

i would guess that house music is like something youd hear in a docs office or something easy listenig, like acoustic,ie; james taylor, cat stevens, some of eric clampton newer stuff. goodluck!!
