a sudden the father decided he wanted to throw a name at me, he hasnt been much help through this pregnancy so for him to suggest something was a huge step and i want him to be involved with this decision, anyway he is Irish and obsessed with it. but he called me Saturday night (St. Patricks Day) and said he would like to name her Maggie, his last name is O'Brien, now the only thing i am having trouble with is a middle name, my middle name does not work with Maggie (its Jeannette) also my first name has a double E at the end and i wanted my daughter to have a name where we could do the same thing, but the only other way to spell maggie to do that would be Maghee??
someone help is this name all wrong or can we work with it???
thanks

I like the 2ND spelling of Maghee. It is not common. I say if he gets to pick the 1st name you should pick the middle name.

I like Maggie much better than Khylee. I even like the spelling Maghee.
Some possible names are
Maghee Linnea
Maghee Louise
Maghee Alaina
Maghee Caelyn (or Caylin)

I don't like the spelling of Maghee and I think Maggie sounds like a dogs name, sorry just my opinion. I love the name Kylee spelt like that instead of Khylee.

Maghee is actually pronounced Muh-gee, not Mag-gee. If you want to go with the "double e," tack it on the middle name. That way, your daughter's name will be much easier for others to pronounce but the middle name will still retain the characteristics you want. What about Maggie Ashlee O'Brien?

I like (Margaret) and call her Maggie for short, so when she gets to be a certain age she can choose what she wants to be called... Margaret and Maggie are actually English heritage names and not Irish (look at my source) but if daddy really wants to use it and add some Irish into it, just make the middle name Irish...
Maggie Colleen- Margaret Colleen
Maggie Eileen- Margaret Eileen
Maggie Brianna- Margaret Brianna

I like Maggie Erin O'Brien. Whatever you name her, and however you spell it, just remember she is the one who has to live with it, and spell it. If you give her something that is too out there she may get teased or just get fed up with people always spelling her name wrong. And just because Maggie is short for Margaret doesn't mean you have to name her Margaret. Maggie works just fine.

Maggie Lynn, Maggie Anne, or just use Maggie as a nickname and name her Margret Sarah, Margret Shea, or Madalynn Aisling, Madalynn Ciaran, Maggie Catharine
