I live in Indonesia and i can tell you that the prices of shirts, jewellery, etc really varies here.

For example you can find shirts for as cheap as 7.000 Rupiahs (about 1 AUS dollars i guess) - these are low quality shirts - , but you can also find shirts for hundred thousands of Rupiahs or even more - mostly well known branded shirts -.

Most of the shirts in the department stores/plazas is sold for around 50.000 to 200.000 rupiahs, these are plain or simple printed regular T-shirts or baby shirts.

But if you're looking for Balinese motif shirts, there's a traditional market in Bali where you can buy these shirts for only 10.000 - 25.000 Rupiahs each (for the average quality ones), but you've gotta make a bargain with the seller, otherwise you'll get a higher price.

For jewellery, of course it depends on what kind of jewellery you're looking for, is it pure gold, white gold, diamonds, other precious stones, silver, or others.

So, it really depends on what type of shirt/jewellery exactly you're looking for.

the key is bargain (not in mall/factory outlet, they are fixed price).
you can start bargain at 50% and slowly raise the price
usually you can get 60-80% of the initial price said by the seller.
Indonesia is the supplier for usa jeans, like lea. so you can find branded clothes in cheap price, but be careful of the "unoriginal".
good place buying clothes:
factory outlet.
flea market.
