"patriarchal values" = beliefs that a male-dominated society hold near and dear. Such as male superiority in most aspects of life, female lust must be controlled or harnessed, a belief in a masculine God, etc, etc..

"institutionalize aspects of sexuality" = creating social frameworks for the "expression" of sexual desires, fears, repression, etc..

(for desire) Orgies: Orgies have been around forever, they're a well-defined framework which take advantage of our natural sexual desires and our natural urge to "obey", and serve as an outlet for the sexual desires for the upper classes.

(for fear) Prison Rape: The prison system is a very well defined institution, which often allows its members to control and rape one another, forming a hearachy of "givers" and "receivers". The receivers suffering what could arguable a man's greatest fear, and the givers getting an outlet to their natural libido.

(for repression) Nunneries: Nunneries are institutions that repress all forms of female sexuality, and keep women busy doing other things. (often manual labour or religious study) and often allow for male sexual assault. A great example of a patriarchal institution if there ever was one.

LOL Sounds like some very snooty acedemic troll found a smart-sounding way to say they don't like societal structures where men are viewed as leaders of the Church and of families.

God set it up that way, but some folks don't like it.

Patriarch is not some dirty word like modernists think. Abraham was a patriarch. Jesus Christ was a patriarch. Even Ghandi was a patriarch of sorts.
