Well it's not like that now! That happened a long time ago. And if the men walked around looking like that now,I would be on the next flight!

actually this movie can have alot of meanings, like as you said it can (1) advertise Greece or (2) we can consider it just as a fiction movie and also (3) there is alot of people that saying in this movie they were insulting persian people and history and i think the 1st and 3rd idea are right!

I saw it. i am not sure exactly what you mean by "'advertise' Greece". It is about a 480BCE battle in northern Greece, so it has nothing about modern Greece.

My dear friend:
sorrily it is the inversion of history.as a piece of an epic story ,yes it has happened.But as the Persians are shown,no it's not true.Persia army was 120,000 people.and finally they beat Greece.Of course any patriotic attempt in any nation is respected and it makes no difference where.you can also read following topic about it from the TIME magazine:
