sprain it, wrench it, brake it, strain it, fracture it, bruise it, overuse it, smash it, bash it, hurt it, infect it, overbend it, twist it, sport's injurys, too much masterbation, fight injury, punching, typing too much, repeditive strain injury, bad blood pressure, allergies, arthritis, deseases, pregnancy complications, pinched vein?, cut it off and let decomposition do it, some one jumps on it, have kids and they will do it for you, squash it, squish it, run it over with a car, gangreen, frostbite, playing to much tennis or other racket games, contact sport injury, slam it in a car door, bee sting, wasp sting, ant bite, numerous other bites and stings from above and below water creatures, wrong medication, blood transfusion reaction?, slam a book on it, not enough exercise, a bite from some mythical creature, getting swollowed by a monster of some descrition(sorry, not a way to make your wrist swell, but you wouldn't be worrying afterwards about it!), and fifty million otherways I haven't even thought of.
I'm sorry if it already is and your trying to find out why, but don't be stupid if you were going to try to do it.

Umm, are you saying you want to try to make your wrist swell, or that your wrist is swollen already and you're wondering why?

The wrist has alot of bones, you risk nerve damage having to has it opened up and pinned together, don't risk a painful wrist fracture.
