Cycling been a competitive sport for the blind from at least 1992

I saw a special in which a blind kid could use clicking like dolphi sonar to measure distance and even ride a bike and shoot hoops. So, I think its great. Its fantastic that people fight hard through their disabilities.

There was a blind Jeopardy champion once, and he won 5 in a row and got to the semifinals of the tournament of champions
