lisa i soooo agree with you!!! have to tried freecycle or ebay? im not usually a tight butt but i refused to pay so much for maternity wear so i bought second hand, seems pointless paying out all that money on me when i had a pram/cot etc etc to buy!

I agree with you. When I was pregnant I had exactly the same problem. Spent most of my time longing around in Jogging bottoms.....does wonders for self image lol

But then I discovered that New Look in the high street do a maternity range.....good quality and real cheap.

I got a pair of Jeans there with a expandable waist for £20. My son is now 3 months and I am still wearing them as I can adjust the waist and not quite back to my pre-pregnancy size yet!!!!!!

Dorothy Perkins do maternity. If you look in any high street store a lot of the clothes would fit you anyway. I refuse to go into FCUK after I discovered their Jeans only go up to a size 14. I discovered though that they had loads of UK size 6 pairs of jeans that appeared to obviously be for 6 foot anorexics. Who could fit those? Anyway I emailed them and told them I wasn't going back in there until they made their sizes realistic and stops catering to the underweight female. Good luck with you pregnancy!

for maternity clothes you could try h and m, or dorothy perkins. I got a nice pair of jeans in next for about 25 pounds. If this is your first pg there is always the chance of using them again?/!!
Or try a local NCT sale, they have good stuff at pretty good prices.

because fashion clothes makers decide the sizes, not the population

Not good for their image to support BIG girls.

My gf is 29weeks and has a similar problem, being a 12 with a big bump, nothing fits.
