there are so many things that humans have faults in that nameing them would be impossiable..what is you,re.. do you plan to correct your faults? or continue in them...

Good Christian? There isn't one!

Me? It was my sin & fear of God that stopped me from becoming a Christian. You know never feeling good enough to become a child of God.

I could be particularly nasty and claim that the only good christian is a dead christian... but that wouldn't be strictly honest.
What is honest would be to say the only good christian is one who does not reveal themselves to be christian... but rather just a reasonable, polite, and impartial human being.
To bring religion into the face of the public is to push it against people's will... irrespective of intent... The abrahamic religions are oft hypocritical, absurd and offensive to behold.... and if one believes such things then the best thing to do for all involved is to keep it to one's self....
So to answer your question, what "holds me back" from being a "good christian" is that I'm not a christian at all... But then I'm not held back either. As far as I'm concerned I have far surpassed any christian in understanding, and far surpassed any need to be "good". All that is required is that I be fair and reasonable in my actions, as it is my place to set an example to others of how one is best benefitted in behaving.

I find tithing a bit too strenous at times and I prefer offerings. Yes, I am praying about it. I guess a part of the reason why I have a problem is the way other Ministries & pastors misuse money and I think I'd rather spread mine around charities and the needy.
