Alright... the HD-DVD drive
hasn't been released yet.
I read an article somewhere that
a Microsoft executive once implied
that the HD-DVD drive is just for
playing movies...
But aren't 360 games gonna
be released in HD-DVD format
soon?
I wanna get a 360,
but not the HD-DVD drive...
Does that mean I might
be able to play games
that are released in that format?
Help me out here, guys...

The HD-DVD drive is an add-on, Dashboard version 2.0.4532.0 was released on October 31, 2006.It allows the Xbox 360 to output video at 1080p and installs support for Zune and the external HD DVD drive attachment.
Xbox 360 games will continue to utilize DVD format media disks, there are no plans to change that until the HD-DVD / Blu-Ray format war ends and one of them is the standard!
