Does anybody take this into consideration when getting into a relationship?
Have any of you taken notice to how your partner treats their ex. I observed my now ex, treating her first husband like he was not even human. I should have taken notice, but thought "she would never treat me that way" but we are now split, and sure as hell, she is treating me the same exact way. I will pay attention in the future to how someone treats their ex We have a kid together, it would be easier for all involved if she could get over the idea of ex's are to stomped on. I think how someone treats their ex's is important.

u are absolutely right on this, we should see how they treated others they had a relationship with, as the past is a good predictor of what the future will be. we never think they will treat us the way they did the others, must be That we somehow think we are better than the others, or different, but its not us, its them and their character, their belief system, we all should look a little bit closer at anyone we intend to marry, if we did we could save ourselves alot of future heartache.

yes, it's important but I think she just needs a little help with her wandering ex mind. She might not be able to cope with the fact that she is an ex as no longer the one. this will cause her to torment that person regardless if by fault or not...so she should be counseled for that or at least confronted about the way she treats her exs as the same to the rest

I don't think it is important unless you mean how he was treated when they were together. But everyone acts differently when they are hurt. When you're splitting up how do you expect to be treated. Splitting up is not a happy occasion. I have a child from my first marriage. When we were splitting up, he wouldn't even buy diapers for her. Everyone's upset during a break-up, just some are worse than others.

You are totally right. Very perceptive of you! One should always look at how their SO treats others - their mother, family, and I always watch at a restaurant how a guy is with waitstaff, and in a store, with clerks. It's very telling, almost as much as a girl being careful to watch out what kind of shoes the men wear (the BEST sign).

Thats kind of a reach because maybe the ex did something really horrible. I agree most people should forgive, but unless you know the entire circumstances of the previous relationship, it shouldnt be a meter of the person.

If only everyone would be civil when they split up with someone, maybe they are like it to all the time to all people?
Not a nice trait!
What do the kids learn from this type of behaviour?

Never really gave it much thought - but they do say you can learn from history so maybe it's something to consider in the near future
