Hi LB,

I think this incident, as you have described it is somewhat representative of a pitfall of modcomm. Furthermore, i think this type of thing is somewhat indicative of what youth find particularly amusing.
However, as a parent i would not leave anything to chance, and would fully investigate the matter to a satisfactory conclusion, if only to raise the blushes of the young parties involved. As you are aware there are some really dangerous elements out there who use the internet as a vehicle for carrying out any sick number of offences against 'our' children. I just pray it's not the worst case scenario, and hope that whatever lessons are to be learned by the young people,
are remembered. Whilst their young it's cool to have fun, however they need to be responsible. Anyways i hope all ends blushfully well............. Michael

dont let her use it if your worried.
My neice is 16, the pc is in the front room but she is not allowed on msn or any chat sites. its the best way to keep them safe.
Also, as a 16 year old girl, I would imagine that there was a fiar bit of flirtation coming from her also. This happens on msn - most ppl are just after a quick get-off.

Follow your instincts.
How did you find out? - I know I would be hovering
(not hoovering) around everytime they were on
msn if this is the case.
Even if it is one of his mates, some serious talking
is to be done here. He is only 12!!

You should report it, but getting a hotmail account is so easy that it could litterally be anyone. Yet he has a similar email address to someone you know, its probably someone she knows who fancies her.
But its still wrong

reporting the incident is the easy part.keeping an eye on the kids and protecting them-that's the hard part.

ban them and move on. keep an eye on your kids and put parental controls on.

why do your kids that are under age have a web cam anyway?
