How do I set the local Area Network on my laptop as the default way to get on the internet?

All I can choose is Broadband and dial up and i dont have any of those. Thankz!

Local Area Network connection is broadband. Choose broadband and it will ask you about your broadband connection and configure your local area network connection to work with your particular broadband.

If you have wireless on your local network and wireless adapter on your laptop, it should be seeing that. If you don't, you have to hook an ethernet cable to the laptop from your network and configure the tcp/ip address appropriately.
