many things make a computer slower.
when talking about cookies, they definitely slow the computer, but only to a short extent which is negligible.
Cookies should be cleaned everytime you are shutting down your computer.

For making ur PC faster, defragment your hard disc, that is certainly gonna help you to a great extent.
Try uninstalling the programs you dont need anymore.
Try to get smaller program alternatives for big programs.
for example, instead of Norton antivirus(which is quite big), use Kaspersky(which is small, and uses less RAM)
you can also install more RAM in your system or try getting a faster processor.

Last but not the least, make sure you don't run several programs at the same time, that makes a system very very slow.

Cookies are little text files that your web-browser downloads to remember cusomized settings on your computer...in theory. Many cookies also keep more personal information than what color you want a particular webpage to appear in.

To easily delete them you in Internet Explorer click Tools/Internet Options/ and click the button listed Delete Cookies. I've never had any website trouble after killing the cookies on my computer. You can also use the privacy tab on the same option page to adjust your cookie level. Settings higher than Medium High DO impact web browsing though.

Please also note that most (if not all) anti-spyware tools target malicus cookies as part of their cleaning.

Cookies are used by websites to track you as you browse the web.

The more information you give a website, the more effectively they track your web page browsing.

Almost every major website uses cookies, because knowing as much about you as possible is a MAJOR $$$$ money-making activity.

Delete cookies:
In Internet Explorer, go to Tools (at the top of the browser between Favorites and Help).
Click on it and select Internet Options.

Under temporary internet files, there is a button called 'Delete Cookies'. Click it. Then Click Yes.

Cookies are files placed on your computer when you browse to a website. They contain information about your interaction with that website and who you are.

Some websites place tracking cookies on your computer that access the website placing them on your computer so that website can track where you surf on the internet.

Cookies allow websites to know who you are when you go to the website, save configuration information about your interaction with the website, order information, shopping cart information etc.

To make your computer run faster, delete unnecessary programs and files on your computer. Then defragment your computer hard drive. You can also install more ram in your computer so that the pagefile on the hard disk will be accessed less.

Cookies are small pieces of code that are transferred to your PC from websites that you have visited. On the whole cookies are OK but you can delete them if you want. You may find that you need to re-enter some details when you re-visit your favourite websites. If you use CCleaner to get rid of all the rubbish on your PC you can nominate which cookies are to be retained. Using CCleaner regularly will also help speed up your PC. Get CCleaner from www.ccleaner.com

Cookies are temporary internet files that you can use to view later. these files are your 'history' files. look up, press tools, internet options. there, press delete cookies, then press delete files and check delete all offline content (this may take a while-dont worry if comp stuffs up).

for cleaning up, go to start, all programs, accessories, system tools, and then any program u wish to run

Good Luck :)!!!!!!!

open up a web page and look for tools, click that and it will bring you a drop down menu. select internet options, and that opens a box. Look for delete cookies. You may also want to delete temporary internet files as well while your doing that.

cookies are just small files that store data. They can remember your password, say, so you don't have to keep loging into your Yahoo mail (good) or they could be tracking things you do on the internet (bad).
to remove....go Start.. Search.... search for Cookies.... open any folder by that name and delete everything in it.
Or you can buy software like Spysweeper or counter spy.
