Did our creator made them better then those who drink alcohol, coffee, smoke, soda and so on? Who is to Judge anyone of what they think is wrong of God's law? Is it the Almighty or the so called worldly human desire perfectly under control? If you are so Religiously Perfect, remove the peck out of your eyes first before you try to remove the beck from your neighgbors eyes. Do mormon have anything against violence, murder, sexual abuse, drugs, selling illegal products, immoral behavior? Yes, I drink in special acations, but is that a good reason for you to keep calling me a drunk. What is wrong with having a glass of wine here and there? Do you have anything better or worse to accuse me of. I am young. I am beautiful. I am not old. I am sorry that we madly fell in Love with each other. Just be glad you have kids and daddy is there. Live your life like there is no tomorrow, take the pain, you will always get and have what you want.! " The Gizzard without the Heart".

Wow, rant much? You know, it might be easier to understand the question if you used a little known thing called grammar.
For another thing, most of the stuff you're ranting about doesn't describe any of the hundreds of Mormons that I know. We are specifically taught by our leaders not to judge others, and to be tolerant of others' beliefs.

Sound like you've had a tough time or something. Sorry if you have. However, I must say, Mormons aren't perfect, at least no more than anyone else. Many people often say they think they're perfect or better than others, but that's not true. They may have a lot of rules or ideals they try and follow, but it doesn't mean they are better or that those that don't are worse. Sometimes my wife tells me this (I'm Mormon and she's agnostic), but she doesn't understand. If we were perfect we wouldn't be going to church. There is no need for any church on this earth if you are perfect. It is wrong for someone to criticize you or say you are less because you don't follow the beliefs of a Mormon, and that is contrary to what the church preaches. Be strong and don't allow the criticizm or talk of some human bring you down. The best way to make a statement is through your actions. Hold your head hi and raise. Good luck.

I'm sorry but it obviously seems like someone who is Mormon or claims to be, hurt your feelings. Personally I do not think having one drink will kill you or be cause to call someone a drunk. Some people in the world cannot control themselves and alcohol makes them do things they would not have done under the influence, like drinking and driving and crashing into someone and killing them. If everyone did not drink this would never happen. I doubt Heavenly Father is going to come out with a list of people who can drink and who can't drink based on who can control themselves and who can not. Personally I do not drink alcohol because it tastes gross, it makes me feel different, and I prefer other ways to have fun or be relaxed.
Mormons as well as people with morals normally are against all the things you listed. Maybe you should ran to the person that hurt you, rather then aginst a religion. That is not fair.

The rules are not to be judgmental I am a Mormon and I may have a drink once in a while but that makes me a hipocrite right? NO I am human. The guidelines are there to help us improve and protect us from Satans snares - that is the goal in life. No matter how you cut it you are more likely to do something drinking then you would not drinking. Which could compromise your life in many situations. A Christlike person does not judge people but tries to help them improve. Dont judge a religion based on how a one person or a group of people treat you.

I like Donielle's answer. There are good and trying to be good people everywhere in and out of every religion, even in the fast food dives. This doesn't seem like a serious question but it made me wonder why the title, the category and the defensiveness. Thankfully, here in America everyone can choose to live the way they want to live. If you are making your choices then let them make theirs. Our parents try to influence our choices for the same reason. They have values they consider important and think those choices will help us, so, because they care about us they share those ideas. Appreciate that someone cares. They aren't judging, just living a standard. If they are judging they aren't living their religion anyway, so don't worry about it. Have some fries and a soda unless you are listening to your dietitian friend.

I'm sorry you seem so bitter against us and our church. We never said we were perfect, we only strive to be along with the other billions of people on this planet. No one called you a drunk or tried to peck at you. We don't try to perfect anyone else either, just spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. We do not claim we are quintessential, we simply have higher standards than the majority of the world. And you know what? I'm happy living those standards. We only want others to be just as happy.

It sounds like you are a feeling uneasy about your vices. As a Mormon, I conform to my beliefs, but if you choose to partake of those things you mentioned, that's your decision. I would certainly not condone misuse of those things, whereas it could affect others, (Drunk Driving etc.). Our health law is just that, a law that guides us in our lives, and has been prov en to be good for mankind. God will be our judge and yours. Worry about what his judgment will be and lighten up on what you think others are thinking. We are not perfect, but we are striving to be the best we can, (and take care of this temple (body) we have been blessed with.

Wow, that's some chip on your shoulder.
Who calls you a drunk? Just because you have an occasional drink? DOES it stop with just one or two? Just asking.
We are NOT Perfect, not by a LONG shot! And we don't, or at least, we shouldn't want that. Just because we believe that God tells us that we should not drink alcohol, coffee or tea, that does not mean we do, or should, feel like we are perfect, rr better than anyone. Not all Mormons do follow the Word f Wisdom to the letter.

The only people who would make such a statement are the very people you speak of. There is no such thing as perfection, it has never been attained. There is no definable words for perfection, only those who strive to obtain it.Humans, by nature, whether of a sect, religion, race or nationality are far from perfect as history has taught us We all make mistakes and so, no one is perfect.
