Both are beautiful but I prefer to watch the sun rise....it brings with it the promise of a new day and a fresh start. The sounds of the birds waking up makes me think they feel the same way....a quiet excitement...anticipation...

Sunrise is like the symbol of hope and great expectations.
I describe my wife as the Sunrise in my life when I first met her.
When I was younger (19 to 23 yrs. old)
I liked sunset because that was preparation for a wild night out in town. I have grown up mentally since then.

If you were sitting next to me I wouldn't care if the sun was rising or setting--nudge, nudge, wink, wink.
Actually I prefer a sunset.

I actually end up watching both cause I'm such a night owl. (I quite often end staying up all night long!) I love sunrises though. When everything is quiet(er) and the day is just starting off. Always gives me a feeling of hopefulness for the day ahead!

they are both beautiful and I live on the ocean so they are especially nice to watch....but maybe the sun rise is my favorite because of what it looks like over the water...
