Now when I drive soft or under 40mph It's ok, but when I punch it or hit 40 +mph It smokes like a chimney. What's my problem? To much oil maybe? I put one quart in the new oil filter and 5 in the block. The engines a 350.

It's still steadily losing oil pressure, smoke is coming from the tailpipe and oil leakage seems to be coming from the front l of the engine

350 takes 5 qts. of oil, not six. when you replaced gasket, did you put new front seal? rubber gasket at lower end of crank. probally bad seat of front seal. loosen pan and adjust gasket. make sure it wasnt pinched badly.smoking could be exhaust burning oil from leak. if not, after fixing leak, get back here or e-mail.

Front part of the gasket is on wrong and you put in too much oil. It takes 4 quarts plus 1 quart for the filter.

You may just be burning off oil that spilled during filling it. Try and see where it's smoking from and check your level for the next couple of days.

sounds like front oil seal needs replacing and also if you are losing pressure it may need oil pump replacing or use a heavier type for better preasure

May be your engine needs overhaul because of lose compression. Check the piston ring.

front main seal bad thats the leak worn out piston rings is why it smokes

it only takes 5 quarts. six is too much
