For that matter, what other slow-type songs would work (I already know a ton of not-so-slow dance songs) for such a prom?

its late 80s...but i reckon as a king and queen song its pretty good....i know they not gonna sing it but its a duet so why not dance to it....have fun....wish i had had a prom at school

How about trying something by the Bee Gees; they did some dance-able stuff; another person that comes to mind is Barry Manilow - pretty dance-able. They're really both late 70s, but so much of the 80s stuff is just not gonna work. Good luck!

i'm hoping it incredibly is joke. i do no longer think of that any guy may be that cheesy to point that song. yet only on the off risk that isn't a joke (God help your fiance), attempt yet another U2 song. My husband and that i the two love the "with or devoid of you" by ability of U2, even though it wasn't appropiate for a commonplace dance song. instead, we performed "beautiful day" on the top of the ceremony.
