Somebody please help me!!I recently posted a question regarding dental pain. Well ive been to my dentist and he is sure the pain is not coming from my teeth and i have no infection anywhere. My symtoms include severe pain in my left temple, left ear, left side of my jaw and the left side of my throat. On occasions the left side of the roof of my mouth becomes painfull. Ive have taken every painkiller i can get my hands on and nothing is working!! Has anybody else ever experienced similar symptoms that were NOT dental related? This has been going on now for 4 weeks and the pain is getting worse.

I went to see my doctor about a week ago to rule out ear/throat infections. He said there was no inflammation all he could see was a little bit of fluid behind my left eardrum but that would drain on its own and its nothing to worry about. It def would not be causing me this much pain!

Go back to your doctor, he should be finding a reason for the pain not just letting you carry on. Tut Tut.
I have seen someone who was having heart trouble and it manifested as pain in her jaw. strange.
However it most probably is neuraglia or something similar but i would insist on finding a cause then you know how best to treat it. Nobody on a forum could tell you whats causing it as they would need to examine you 1st. Good luck I hope the pain eases soon.

Sounds like a sinus infection. Your sinus's come down almost to your roots on some of your teeth. I'd say this is an infection which is in your ear (fluid) and causing so much pain.
I have had several over the years and remember it being very painful.
My daughter just had a sinus infection too and had some fluid in her ear.
Go to another doctor and explain the symptoms.
Call today and say how much discomfort you are in.
If you can't get it.. go to the drug store and get some sudafed
shower things. They help you breathe better. Stay in a steamy shower/bathroom for about 10-20 mins.
Take a sudafed and rest. (Motrin too).
Drink a lot of fluids to keep swallowing.
Warm compress helps too to the area most painful!

I've had Herpes problem over 3 years. I tried everything, of course I went to the DR. about a hundred times, probably not that many, but it sure seems like it. It never did any good for long and caused all kinds of other issues having to do with taking too many antibiotics. It wasn't until I stumbled upon the information on this site http://herpestreatment.kyma.info that my life changed completely.
I'm feeling so much better now and all of my symptoms are totally gone. I haven't had an outbreak since using that info. Best news: It works even if you’ve already blown hundreds or even thousands of dollars on conventional herpes medication without significant relief…even if you’ve been suffering from herpes for years, and even if your virus is currently in hiding and your doctor claims nothing can reach it.
I know it can work miracles for you if you just let it. See more: Shocking video reveals why Herpes/Cold Sores meds are dangerous

Your fine. Time is the only thing that will help this. Have a advil if the pain is that bad and put some ice on it. It will hurt for maybe another day or 2. But not as much. It should only hurt if you put pressure on it. Maybe sitting or touching it and you will feel it. If the pain is not from contact then go to a doctor and get it checked out.

Go back to your doctor and insist that he/she check your sinuses.
I had a tooth pulled. The tooth had actually punctured through my sinus 'line'. When the dentist removed it, the small hole closed up, but I had scar tissue which eventually clogged my sinus'. I was in severe pain on the left side of my head, behind my eye, temple, chin and ear. A simple procedure cleared it up and no more pain.
Good luck with this, I can relate and I know its no fun.

Have you ever had any head injuries? I get severe pain down the right side of my head and jaw due to a car accident which i fractured my skull in. Apparantly though its migraine related! Perhaps the doctor needs to look at something else or there is a blood flow issue.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.

It sounds like referred pain of some sort. Have you had or do you have , shingles? You may not know - you certainly need to see a doctor. Shingles is the Herpes virus; if you had chickenpox as a child, the virus lies dormant in your body, and can reawaken if you have been in contact with chickenpox again. The pain in your nerve nedings is excruciating; if it's not shingles, then you have some sort of inflammation of your nerve endings, and need to see your doctor very quickly so you can get proper pain relief.
