Whales are mammals and give birth to live offspring. They also nurse their young. Fish are amphibians and generally lay eggs, and even the few which give live birth do not nurse their young.

well the first difference between a whale and a fish, apart from their size is that whale is a mammal whereas fish is not.

whales breathe through their lungs just like other mammals do, it comes out of the water to take its oxygen n then goes back into the water unlike fish which takes in the the oxygen which is dissolved in the water through its gills.

whales give birth to their young ones whereas a fish lays eggs.
