Its ok everbody, stand back give the lady some room, Here let me take a look...

Omg! it really is a splinter!!!

Right, muppet quit making lewd comments and call 999 ask for a police escort, theres no time for an ambulance get them to clear the roads too,

Dr phill get some anasthetic and some bandages out of your bag.

Haggisbasher...just stand there and look cute... thats it good girl!

***dabs anasthetic on wound and wraps it in a bandage, gentl y lifts you and carries you to the nearest car, which just happens to be smurfs***

ok Vixen you'll have to sit with her and make sure she doesn't faint or anything...

*** i jump in the drivers seat , Smurf waving his arms about wildly as i stuff a screw driver into the ignition twisting it violently until the engine coughs to life as i stomp the accellererator i notice that it was the keys Smurf was waving , oh well i pull away in a cloud of smoke and rubber, hitting 60 before leaving the kerb, gaining speed as we enter traffic, weaving and doging lights as we get up to 90, useless pedestrians scattering as we are forced onto the pavement by inconsiderate hgv's, finally the sound of sirens in the distance, as whilst taking a corner we drift accross three lanes i make a mental note t ocomplain to the council about the thoughtless positioning of bollards and road signs, at least the police have managed to catch up, but shouldn't they be in front too? oh well they know what theyre doingand traffic is moving out of the way now. thank fully the hospital is only a couple of miles away now***

Hows everyone doing in the back there?
your looking a bit pale too Vixen...

*** the car, sreaming at full revs turns finally into the entrance to the hospital grounds. seeing a gap ouside the a&e between two ambulances i pull sharply on the steering and lock on the hand brake, squeeling tires and the explosion of bursting rubber ehcoes round the ground alerting people to our plight, misjudging the gap only slightly the rear step of the ambulance tears through the front of the car oblitterating the headlights and demolishing the radiator in a cloud of steel and steam,
swiftly ileap from the car, dragging Dr phill who for some reason seems to be gibbering incoherently,
i pull open the rear door and lift you out holding you carefully as i take vixen by the hand and help her out of the car, she seems a little unstable, if i'd known everyone was getting sick i'd have moved a little faster. with yuo nestled in my arms i burst through the door shouting for a doctor***

Medical Emergency!!!!!
severley wounded woman!!!

***i pass you into the care of the stunned emergency team who begin checking you over, you dissapear with a couple of nurses, and i know your going to be just fine...
and some ones seeing to Vixen and the good doctor so alls fine and oh look our escort just caught up.....***

I'll be happy to try, though I'm usually better at putting things in than taking them out.

On a more practical note, tweezers for easy-removal splinters; if it resists, the tip of a pin can help to tease the end out enough so that the tweezers can get to it.

What I used to do for my childrens is this. attempt to loosen the floor around the place the splinter is with a pointy, sterilized stitching needle. Then, the two soak your finger in heat water, or only stick on your mouth for a quick on a similar time as. it works because of the fact the needle created a greater physically powerful way for the splinter to get out, and protecting your pores and skin moist enlarges the pores and the hollow, and the splinter will finally only come out. I did this each and each of the time for my childrens, and that they discovered it lots much less difficult than would desire to go through with mom digging around with a pair of tweezers. desire it helps.

Use a poultice or warm water to soften the skin around the affected area first. Then use a sterilised sewing needle to manipulate and extract the splinter. Be gentle and patient and it will come out eventually.

If you cant get it out put a little peice of bread on it that is damp with a bandade let it on for a few hours will help draw it out or if you cant find it the splinter put a little iodine on it the wood will get a darker color to get it

If it isn't deep, try putting a piece of sticky tape on it, and see if you can pull it out that way. Sometimes it works.

Otherwise, you're going to need to get out the trusty tweezers and a needle..make sure you sterilize them first. Good luck!!

Regretfully, long distance, this is about as much help as I can be.

Get a pair of tweezers, some witch hazel and some cotton. Wipe the area with some witch hazel and pull with tweezers.

Only one thing for it - you're going to have to call the Fire Brigade! Probably take about 6 of them to get it out...
